How do you feel that everybody's treating you like the "it" model today?
Umm...I don't know. I mean, I guess that you're talking about the good things that come with it because there are also the bad things. The good things, I don't know, it's cool. But I'm a quiet person so I don't really...like the attention all the time.

I wouldn't really say that.
How do you feel about all the attention?
To be honest, it's nice. I mean, I come from Canada and back home, it's just a normal life. But here, I guess the celebrity part of it, it's cool. And it helps to get confidence.
Before you became a model, what were you doing?
I was a student in Canada.
Then you came here just to model?
I was thinking of trying out to play basketball.
So you like basketball?
Yeah.
So you want to enter the UAAP or NCAA?
Yeah, that was my plan. But I never even got to try out. Things kinda happen fast here with modelling. Then I figured, might as well take the opportunity while it's in front of me.
What were you taking up in Canada?
Kinesiology. It's like sports therapy.
How did you get discovered?
I guess, while walking around the mall.
Then?
To be honest, at first I really didn't want to do it so I just kinda threw it away, their cards or whatever.
What made you give in?
When I finally gave in? I guess Mossimo helped a lot. And I got lucky because I got in the Fashion Week. For one, they usually use mostly Cal Carrie models. And I didn't have any pictures, I just went to go-see. I just got lucky enough that I got in a couple of shows and then from there people started noticing.
Are you really a good boy?

No, I really can't say that. I'm not perfect. I do (pauses to think)...stuff.
Have you done anything wild lately?
Nothing uncharacteristic, I think, of someone my age. I guess, I'll go out to parties. I'll get drunk every once in a while. But nothing like super crazy.

Every oncein a while, it's not often but I'll be that really drunk...

What can I do? I dance more. I talk more, maybe a little too much.

No. I was in one for a long time so...

Yes. I had a girlfriend in Canada and we went out for more than five years.

At this point? I just want someone normal.

Not necessarily like models but it's just the attitude they have. Like, I want someone I can just chill with becasue to be honest, I'm kinda sick of going out every night. I love being with my friends and everything but I don't mind finding someone I could just hang out with at her place or my place whatever. Just doing regular relationship thing.
So you can say that you're looking more for a friend or a lover?
Honestly, I just wanna stay single. I'm not looking for a relationship, just someone to hang out with.

I guess certain aspects of it comes off from driving. I mean there are pattersns in your life that you kinda (do over and over again). So I guess like when people have aggressive styles of driving, they might have aggressive ways in bed.

Brent Javier (Aka Lee)
People call him Francis. "I actually get mistaken for Alvin (Francis in the tv ad) sometimes. I don't know if he gets mistaken for me though." He does get called Lee from time to time. "But to be honest, more people knew me as Brent, even before the commercial."
He would have been a baller. It's the reason he came to the Philippines in the first place. "I wanted to try playing here." Unfortunately, he broke his right wrist before leaving Canada. "It never healed right, and I was still in rehab, so I never made the tryouts." Instead, he was approached by agents who asked him to try modelling, and the rest is history. "I still love basketball though. I try to play three times a week, four if I'm lucky."
He takes public transportation. Yup, just like in the print ad. "I ride the MRT, I hide myself really well though, I'll wear a cap and pull it down really low." So the nest time you find yourself sitting to a cute, vaguely familiar guy in a cap on the MRT, take a good look. It just might be him!
He knew all along. "We shot the second part the very next day. They just told everyone I was really bad at acting, so they had to re-shoot me. I'm not a great actor, so they believed it." True to his character, Brent can really keep a secret. "I'm pretty quiet and mysterious. But once you get to know me, I'm an open book."
If he were your secret admirer, you would never know. "I'm attracted to girls with humor, kindness and patience. She has to be smart." And if he likes someone, "I'll be nice to her, but in a teasing way so that she could never be sure. Keep her interested, but at a distance." He has done the secret admirer thing, minus the great reveal. "I'll write a note and put it in her book, or leave an anonymous page in her voice mail. But I'd never admit it was me. Well, maybe five years later."

my name is brent... i'm a pisces... and i'm the shit but some of you might just think i am shit. all good. haters gonna hate playas gonna play. if you want y'all can check my dental records. real brent, that's me. for some reason i've rediscovered the pasttime reading here in singapore. it's cool, reading is cool, i'm cool! oh but just cause i can read doesn't mean i think i'm a scholar or anything so if i can't spell and make a mistake here and there sue me, idontgivafuck. being the way i am though if i spot a mistake on your page, be it grammar or spelling i'll probably correct you :) cause i'm a model and if you get corrected by a model, then that make you pretty sad hahaha just kidding, sorta. anyways if you keep reading and find some similarities later down in this "about me" section it's cause i haven't yet had the time to erase past scribbles or am just to lazy by the time i finish these scribbles. anyways i'm currently jwalking the streets of singapore trying to do my think. not bad so far, i've been working but still wait for that huge job i can boast about when i get back to manila and share with my mom. hmm... singapore, it's clean. not exaclty the most exciting place but i enjoy it cause it a change and constant change is good right? i don't know being stagnant and shit in one place kinda unnerves me after a while. oh i got this interesting book about dreams and goals and i'm buying into it's ideas so i'm aiming high cause how does that saying go, something like, "It is far better to aim for the stars and hit the moon, than stay on the ground and end in the dirt." Right? You know it!!! Or here this one i remember too, "If it is to be... it's up to me". I'm all about the positive energy crap right now so if you're one of the (i don't know why) but many trying to make up negative issues about me or believe in them then fukoff. some people i though were good friends are bullshit and believe garbage and even spread the garbage. you have problems, stop fronting on me like your a friend, you know who you are. i'd rather not know you. people that know the truth are my REAL close friendes and that's all that matters. rest of y'all i just laugh at you for being dumbasses. i laugh with my mom about how stupid you are and how easily you swayed to believe things. anyways yea with my "dreams" and future aspirations i think me and my friends are gonna own the philippines in a couple years. give us like 2-3 and we'll be running shit. i'm already prioritizing so kindly just step out the way cause we're gonna runnit and ain't a damn thing you can do to stop it. you can be with us or you can be dusted in our path, your choice. ok well i'm done for this entry. i actually had a whole lot more thoughts on the mrt on the way back to the models apartment but i guess my model brain won't let me contain them for more than a certain amount of time. oh well. i'm hella ripped shooooot my about me is getting long huh? already spotted some mistakes ima leave it though it adds character :) i really think in way this is the beginning of a new chapter of my life cause i'm thinking about the future a lot more. i wanna do more with my life so yea anyways here's a quick preview of my next plans... drum roll pls................................................... ok i'm starting a restaurant/health juice place in the next quarter of next year with johnny verse, my cousin rob and eric(dude eric i don't care if you don't wanna join us cause it's either you do or we hire someone to kill you, but think it out of respect :)) , i'm also gonna do an exporting thing with my mommy and tita and also cousin rob, i may do some t-shirt urban gear thing cause yo i know i can, ask JR(he got the "design for love") but my shit although not exactly original will sell, he bought something i sorta designed. but i'm sell on in canada or the net so don't be looking for it to pop up in any rustans near you. i wanna learn to web design i sorta started a bit at st. benilde(but not really cause i only went for to sems) but the important thing here is the interest and the will. where there's a will there is a way. PROFOUND I TELL YOU!!! you can trussss that! i got back to the phils today for the weekend to do some work and pay some bill but i'm going back on tues i think to singapooor, oops a thought mixed in with my last statement. yea i feel poor in singapore but i like it makes me work harder. i slack way too much when im here cause it's going well here i guess. i get free stuff and show it off i'm at that level kinda sad actually but again idontgivafuk. thanks canon and converse you rock hahahaha uhh my thoughts are all over anyways yea i'm poor but i'm ripped like a motherbiatch cause i walk miles and miles in singapore and eat less and still workout. but my "sis" maryann just says it's my ribs that are shredded :) oh shit buy the way my real sis is in her 1st year university so goodluck hope you don't slack like me i know you'll make all of us proud. i might have to kill you though esteena if you finish school before me. so i really do think you should be a doctor and go to school for 8 or whatever more years :) stop telling people we're twins cause we're not. i'll see you in december and promise this year cause it's been a good year to buy you stuff cause unfortunately i grew up with you. and stop using my sneaking out tricks i'll tell mom i fukkin swear. ok i'm out peace to ur momz. and to my momz see u in november when you visit, pay half of my powerbook and buy me lots of furniture for my new place. awesome ;)

Brent is in Singapore!
After filming a commercial in Thailand, several pics of Brent were seen in Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese websites. Last heard, Brent is currently in Singapore, working probably on another project...or trying his luck in the Asian modelling circuit. I will try to get more information on Brent's Singapore soujorn. October/November is supposed to be the schedule for Manhunt International to be held in Shanghai, China. As of today, there is still no confirmed date for the said competition.
